Scoring And Preparation Tips For CELPIP
How is CELPIP Scored?
Each section of the CELPIP test is scored on a scale of 1 to 12:
A score of 9–12 indicates advanced proficiency.
A score of 5–8 reflects adequate proficiency.
A score of 1–4 suggests limited proficiency.
For Canadian permanent residency, the required score often varies depending on the immigration program but usually aims for a CLB 7 or higher (equivalent to a CELPIP score of 7+).
